About ZENA AL-ABED
Zena grew up in Cincinnati Ohio but has called North Carolina home since 2021, after attending Case Western Reserve University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Zena began her career as a cardiac nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, where she gained years of valuable experience caring for patients. She began her nurse practitioner career in December 2021, and has experience in urgent care, general medicine and occupational medicine. She began at Atlantic Medical Group in January 2025 with a desire to make a difference in patients’ lives by addressing complex digestive health issues and establishing long term patient connections.
Outside of work, Zena leads an active lifestyle, loves to travel, and spending time with friends and family.
